Mallory’s spring bridal session is what dreams are made of and I’ll be posting these images for years to come! Sorry, I’m not sorry. It’s common for brides to do their bridal session at their wedding venue, but Mallory chose Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas for the backdrop of her session – and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

The day before her bridal session, we saw a chance of rain in the forecast – truly a photographer’s worst nightmare. But it looked like it was going to be a quick storm, so we decided to cross our fingers, say a little prayer, and keep everything as scheduled. It was one of those days where it really could have gone either way!

Mallory and her sweet mom were so trusting of me and helped create a calm, but exciting feeling for the day, and I knew immediately that we were going to create some magic. We started near Ian’s Chapel and after only a few snaps of my camera, it started to rain. I tucked Mallory under the beautiful open-air pavilion to keep her dry and got creative with different angles and locations. I truly can’t explain how thankful I am for Mallory and her mom’s kind and understanding spirits. Raining during a bridal session, while trying to keep the dress clean, could have easily damped (pun intended) the mood. But they stuck with me and eventually the rain started to let up!

We laughed, we threw the veil, I endlessly gushed over Mallory’s beauty, and just before sunset we transitioned to the Sacred Oaks venue to spend some time under the grand heritage oak trees. Obsessed is an understatement for this whole bridal session. Mallory’s floral appliqué gown, matching cathedral veil, whimsical bouquet from Monarch Florals, and her overall cheery disposition made for the perfect garden inspired look.

Mallory, thank you so much for trusting me, even when the weather was less than ideal. I absolutely love how everything came together for your beautiful bridal session and I am forever inspired by your vision. A few of my favorite photos are below.
